The legislative authority of the Republic of Stratham is exclusively vested in the Parliament, which comprises five Members of Parliament (MPs) including a Speaker of Parliament (SoP) elected for a two-month term. The Parliament, through a majority vote, has the responsibility to establish rules governing its proceedings, including the legislative process, standing committees, uniform legislation formats, and other relevant regulations as deemed necessary.


The Parliament consists of 5 elected members referred to as Members of Parliament, [MPs] for a 2 month term. Members of Parliament are collectively tasked with representing the people's will. Parliament is responsible for creating, amending and removing laws as well as server rules that fall under the Government's oversight. They're also responsible for confirming or denying Prime Ministerial nominations for Cabinet and Judicial Positions.
In addition, the Parliament holds the power to create and modify legislation, as well as propose amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Stratham. The final versions of legislation or constitutional amendments are subject to a vote, with support from a majority of Members of Parliament (3/5) required for legislation and a supermajority (4/5) for constitutional amendments. The Parliament may override a legislative veto through a supermajority vote (4/5).
 
Furthermore, the Parliament, by a majority vote, can pass articles of impeachment against a constitutional officer. They are authorized to create, amend, and repeal laws falling within the Government's jurisdiction and authority on behalf of the people.
 
Members of Parliament are obligated to uphold the institution's laws, serving and representing the people in a dignified and moral manner. Prohibitions include members serving as constitutional officers in a different branch of government.
 
The Parliament's powers extend to confirming or rejecting nominations from the Prime Minister, overriding Executive Orders by a supermajority vote (4/5), and levying taxes solely upon the people of Stratham. Additionally, the Parliament is not permitted to engage in legislative business without a quorum present, requiring at least 3/5 members for proceedings.
