The Prime Minister is the Head of State and Head of Government in the Republic of Stratham. The Prime Minister directs the Executive Branch of the Republic of Stratham and their powers stems from The Constitution of the Republic of Stratham. Article One of the Constitution vests all Executive Power in the Prime Minister.

History

Appointment Process

The Prime Minister historically is appointed by the President of Stratham with the consent of Parliament. The position was made electable on August 29th, 2021 by Parliament through a constitutional amendment. SlimeEmperor and Kailabeann were the first to be elected as Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister.

Replacement in 2023

The position has been removed once before by Koalition through his powers as Owner. It was replaced with a new constitution where the Council of Ministers functioned as the Executive and Legislative. The reason for this change was when the Prime Minister, I_want_cookiez resigned, shortly after the new Prime Minister, Cherub54321 resigned from the position as well. Making it one of the only times in history where two Prime Minister's resigned in a single day.
