Kawaibab: stuff

Lexford is a town in the nation of Stratham, currently situated north-east of the Capital City at the foot of the tallest mountain in Stratham. The town is considered remote with only a connection to the Capital City by train. The mayor of Lexford currently is Kawaiibab, with Tracefais serving as temporary interim mayor. Lexford is known for its scenic surroundings and tight knit community. It is currently the only town in Stratham and was the first settlement completed in the new map.

History
Beginnings
Lexford was first founded in 2019 by Johnnyboi12345, Jocie123, and Tree60noscope, originally located just west of the Palm Bay Bridge in an old growth taiga biome. The town was established unofficially as a small village called "Fort Lexford" inhabited by a small group of players. The towns theme was medieval but as it began to invite new players and grow it slowly became modernized and had a mix of late 18th century and medieval style architecture. The unofficial council of the town expanded and consisted of other prominent players including Technofied and Endeavor who heavily advertised the town as well as assisted in its construction.

Griefing
On July 26th, 2019, while lexford was still a small unofficial town, it was severely griefed. Johnnyboi12345 accused Derpgaming20_YT, SpriteTropical, and Codes320 of griefing the town as there was animosity between them due to an ongoing war with the town of Troutman. The next day, YT filed a lawsuit against Johnnyboi12345 accusing him of harassment and defamation. The lawsuit was dropped later that day. The culprit of the griefing was actually found to be a troll that joined the server earlier that day. As a result of the damage done to the town, Jocie123, a prominent member of Lexfords staff, left the server on July 31st, 2019. Due to Lexford having no regions at the time, it continued to suffer griefing attacks until it was relocated.

Fort Hamilton
On August 15th, 2019, Lexford was renamed "Fort Hamilton." Around the same time the town began preparations to be recognized as an official town. One of the prerequisites to township was a 15,000 block region limit to keep the size reasonable. Lexford had a larger region and needed to downsize before being considered.

On September 5th, 2019, Tree60noscope left his position as deputy mayor of Lexford. On the same day, Mehlife was introduced as the towns treasurer.

On August 22nd, 2019, Lexford was officially recognized as a town and was moved west of the Capital City between 2 mountain ranges, at the time it was still named "Fort Hamilton". The grand opening of Lexford was not until September 13th, 2019. It remained there until the new map release on November 17th, 2023.

On September 22nd, 2019, Endeavor made a statement that Lexford was neutral during a time of conflict between Troutman and Pentagon.

On October 8th, 2019, Endeavor announced that Lexford would no longer be governed by a town council, instead operating under the management of Hamilton Industries.

Mayor SlimeEmperor
On March 3rd, 2020, SlimeEmperor became mayor of the town.

On April 2nd, 2020, SlimeEmperor announced that the town would be renamed back to "Lexford" instead of "Fort Hamilton" and suggested that the town would be transformed from the "cash-maker that offered little aside from overpriced farming plots" and said that the town would move more towards a "Forest-like theme."

During Slime's tenure as Mayor, he worked hard to foster a sense of community in the town, through frequent events such as Town Fairs and the town's participation in the BCMMA league. He opened a residential district, welcoming people back into the town of Lexford whilst still fighting for land expansions for residents to have their own commercial and farming plots.

Under Slime's leadership, Lexford was voted #1 Town of 2020 and 2021.

Slime stepped down from Lexford on the 7th March, 2022 as a result of a lack of time.

<big>Mayoral Instability</big>

Following Slime's resignation, Stinkycow was appointed Mayor on the 7th March, 2022. Stinky had an excellent resume, having been mayor of Blackwater, the most successful unofficial city in our history, as well as being both Government Ministers and the Prime Minister. Despite this, his only actions were to recruit councillors until he resigned on the 23rd of April, 2022.

Stinkycow appointed Danycati as the Mayor of Lexford on the 24th April, 2022. Danycati's first action was to appoint Kawaibab as Deputy Mayor of the town. Danycati released plans to retract plans for a Farming District on the 2nd June, 2022; instead choosing to naturalise the planned location.

Danycati stepped down from Mayor on the 10th June, 2022, appointing Kawaibab as Mayor.

<big>Mayor Kawaibab</big>

On 10th June, 2022, Kawaibab became Mayor of the town.

On the 15th June, 2022, Kawaibab released his plans for the town; these involved the expansion of the town to include a larger suburbs and a refreshed town square. Construction began on these plans, meaning the bus route from the capital was cut off. The bus route was re-opened on the 3rd July, 2022.

On the 24th June, 2022, Kawaibab refreshed the town leadership team to involve 3 departments: the Council, the Land Management Dept, and the Public Affairs Dept.

During Kawai's tenure as Mayor, he has held several events in the town; ranging from The Purge in which a State of Emergency was declared, to MMA competitions and even a Grand Prix.
